What you need to do is stand with your friend on the lane outside your house and look at it from the outside. What do you see? Quickly jot down the first impressions. Repeat the exercise in the driveway, lawn, porch, garage and every room of your house.
Ensure that you do not censor any information, do not take any personal offense or get defensive about the condition you see your house in. This is not about judging how you have kept your house so far, this exercise is about identifying aspects about your house that can create a bad impression and then changing them.
